Applying for a school place
We would love to welcome you to Langdale CE Primary School. We take children from the age of 3 up to the age of 11. Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and will give you a flavour of what we have to offer in our idyllic setting here in the heart of the Lake District National Park, just outside Ambleside. Nursery Admissions
We offer all 3 and 4 year old's up to 15 hours a week of free nursery provision from the term after their 3rd birthday. Some children may be eligible for an additional 15 hours of nursery education - click here for more information or see the form below.

Applying for a Reception Place September 2025
If you live in Cumbria and your child was born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022, they will be due to start school in Reception year group in September 2026.
You must apply to Cumbria County Council for a place, even if your child is currently in our nursery class.

Parents who cannot, or do not wish to, make an online application can apply on form SA1 (available from the school office).
The closing date for applications is 15 January 2025.
