Children living in the catchment area

Children living with our catchment area may qualify for free home to school transport, provided by the Local Authority.

Children qualify for free home to school transport based on their age and walking distance from their main residence to a qualifying school when:

• Children younger than eight years old walk more than 2 miles and

• Children older than eight walk more than 3 miles

Where you can demonstrate that your household has a low income your child may qualify for home to school transport. The Council regard households to have a low income when their children are entitled to Free School Meals or they are in receipt of the maximum level of working tax credit.

There are other criteria with which your child may qualify for free home to school transport. For full details, please visit Cumbria County Council's School Transport page.

Children living outside the catchment area

A free minibus service is provided for children living outside the catchment area who wish to attend our school.

The minibus picks children up from and drops them off at Staveley, Windermere, and Ambleside.

For full details, please contact the school office on 015394 37204.
